Abstract

|
Security issue in the PACS system is growing larger recently, since PACS system starts internet based service. The authors tried to construct PKI based user verification system on the web-PACS in Ajou University Medical Center. After 3 months of development, PKI based security module (JXCEAL, Jang Media Interactive, Seoul, Korea) was launched on the web-PACS system, in addition with firewall and SSL system. Preservation of the security of the medical imaging information was maintained effectively after launching those security systems.
